Braintree Athletic Complex : ウィキペディア英語版 | Braintree Athletic Complex
The Braintree Athletic Complex is a planned 150,000 square foot privately owned multi-purpose sports complex located on the campus of Braintree High School in Braintree, Massachusetts. The complex is scheduled to break ground at the end of this summer. It is planned to be ready for the Fall of 2016. The complex will be developed by CMX Partners and will be eco-friendly. The new facility will be built over the acreage of a former soccer field at Braintree High School, Carson Field and will be adjacent to the current artificial turf football field〔 at Braintree High School. Rentals will be prioritized to Braintree sports teams and residents and at a discounted price. The Town of Braintree had issues trying to plan the project. Braintree had to win a court approval to locate the pool away from Watson Park, where Petersen's will stated it would be. Then, they needed the Legislature to give them the okay to lease the land to a private company. At Watson Park, Braintree built the Petersen splash pad. Braintree's only financial contributions to the build were the $1.5 million from Petersen's fund. == Petersen Pool == Petersen Pool is a planned junior-olympic size swimming pool named after August Julius Petersen. The pool will include a 1.2 meter diving board. There will be elevated seating for spectators.〔
